We have hosted and attended over 100 volunteer sessions and events so far, bringing together students, volunteers, and organizations in meaningful ways. These experiences have helped us build stronger connections, broaden our reach, and deepen our impact within the community.

Ongoing events
We currently have four ongoing volunteer events in partnership with various organisations

TIN SHUI WAI TIN YUET ESTATE
Since September 2024, we have hosted tutoring sessions in collaboration with Tin Shui Wai Women's Association every Saturday. Our volunteers are committed to providing the best tutoring to those living around this remote area. As our longest partner, we are immensely grateful for TSWWA for their support.

SIDE BY SIDE GOOD MANSION
Since February 2025, we have hosted weekly free tutoring sessions here at Good Mansion, a transitional housing community located in Hung Hom. During these sessions, we support students with homework and provide additional tutoring outside the classroom to help strengthen their learning and confidence.

SHEK PAI WAN ESTATE
Since October 2025, in collaboration with Hong Kong Southern District Women's Association, we have been hosting free tutoring sessions at Shek Pai Wan Estate every Friday. Here, we provide pre-primary students with homework help as well as fun math activities and group games, aiming to foster a love for mathematics.

Little life warrior society
Since December 2025, we began partnering with Little Life Warrior Society to organize one-off events, allowing children who overcame cancer and severe blood diseases to enjoy fun activities. From April of 2026, we also began 1 on 1 tutoring sessions with their students in various school subjects.

7-8/2026: summer program
Solve to Soar x Little Life Warriors Society
Several of our volunteers supported Little Life Warriors Society's various summer tutoring events by providing valuable one-on-one academic assistance to children living with chronic illnesses. Through individualised support, volunteers helped these students keep up with summer schoolwork and gain confidence in learning.

27-31/7/26: summer program
Solve to Soar x Hong Kong Southern District Women's Association
During the summer, our volunteer leaders organised a week-long program at HKSDWA, where they led a variety of fun English and Math-related games for the children. It was a deeply rewarding experience for our volunteers, who were able to build meaningful connections with the kids, share laughter, and spread joy throughout the week.

7/3/26: 2026 SDG SUMMIT
Solve to Soar x GGC Council
Our team hosted a booth at the annual SDG Summit Impact Fair at Canadian International School. We were deeply inspired by the many young changemakers who shared their own innovative projects and ideas for a better future. It was very energizing to connect with so many like-minded individuals committed to driving positive impact in their communities.

30/12/25: Winter themed Slime Workshop
Solve to Soar x NextGen STEM
On December 30th, we worked with one of our partner organisations, NextGen STEM, and organised a fun winter themed slime workshop at Shek Pai Wan. Our students and volunteers had an so much fun learning all about the science behind slime and creating their own unique snow slime. What an amazing way to end the year!

20/12/25: Christmas Gathering
Solve to Soar x Little Life Warriors Society
On December 20th, we hosted a booth at a Christmas gathering organised by the Little Life Warrior Society, an NGO dedicated to helping children with cancer and severe blood diseases. Our volunteers planned and led a variety of fun Christmas activities, including a snowball toss game, DIY paper reindeer crafting, Christmas colouring, and more. It was incredibly rewarding to see all the smiles on the children's faces.

16/8/25: 1st Anniversary Gala
Solve to Soar x SideBySide Good Mansion
On August 16th, our president and vice president were invited to Good Mansion's first anniversary gala. Here, they celebrated Solve to Soar and Good Mansion's year-long partnership, bonding over sports, art, and a shared sense of community. Thank you to Ms. Anthea Lee (SideBySide’s Chief Executive) and Mr. Victor Tai (Under Secretary for Housing) for their continued support with Solve to Soar!

6-8/2025: Internship Program
Solve to Soar x SideBySide Good Mansion
During the summer, some of our volunteers interned at Good Mansion over the span of 5 weeks. During their internships, they worked in the Good Mansion Management Office, helping with everything from everyday management tasks, such as scanning and printing, to planning large events. This was a great opportunity for our volunteers to gain real world experience working directly with one of our core NGO partners.

6/2025: Summer Enrichment Program
Solve to Soar x SideBySide Good Mansion
In June, we held a 4-day summer enrichment program at Good Mansion, where we taught Math, oral English, and Financial Literacy through fun games and activities. Throughout the program, the students were rewarded with tokens, and on the last day, we prepared a market where they could use the tokens they earned and the knowledge that they gained throughout this program to 'purchase' prizes gifts that they wanted.

7/6/2025: Good House Ceremony
Solve to Soar x SideBySide Good House
We were invited to attend the Opening Ceremony of Good House, a part of SideBySide's transitional housing initiative. This new facility represents an important step in providing support and resources for those in need. At this event, we were able to meet the Secretary for Housing, Ms. Winnie Wing Yin Ho, SideBySide Chairperson, Mr. Justice Poon Siu-tung, and SideBySide Chief Executive, Ms. Anthea Lee.

6/2025: STEM Workshops
Solve to Soar x NextGen STEM
On June 6th and 21st, our partner organisation NextGen STEM generously donated over 20 STEM kits to support our initiatives, which we used to host two engaging STEM workshops at our regular volunteer locations. These workshops provided an amazing opportunity for our students to explore STEM through fun but also educational hands-on activities, such as making their own slime and building a balloon-powered car.

31/5/2025: End of year celebration
Solve to Soar @Shanghai Destiny
On May 31st, we hosted an end-of-year celebration at Shanghai Destiny, marking a conclusion to our first year. The ceremony included an award ceremony, where we recognised the outstanding contributions of our volunteers. The event was filled with joy as we brought together many of our dedicated volunteers. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and look forward to another year together!

In March, we were invited to attend SideBySide's annual volunteer appreciation ceremony, where Solve to Soar was recognized as a valued partner organization. We are immensely grateful for the recognition from SideBySide and look forward to continuing our partnership to create meaningful change in the community.

22/2/2025: 2025 SDG Summit
Solve to Soar x GGC Council
In February, we hosted a booth at the 2025 SDG Summit Impact Fair, which was held at Canadian International School. This event provided an opportunity for us to connect with passionate and dedicated students from all over Hong Kong. The interactions we had at the Impact Fair were inspiring, as we met many young changemakers eager to make a difference in our communities.

21/6/2024: Tutoring Session at LCPMSS
Solve to Soar x LCPMSS
In June 2024, Solve to Soar made its debut at Lan Chi Pat Memorial Secondary School. While we did not establish a long-term partnership here, the experience was crucial in shaping our tutoring strategies and enhancing our understanding of student dynamics. We will carry forward the lessons learned as we continue to grow and evolve our programs.
